The InterVarsity Graduate and Faculty Ministries Washington D.C. Metro Winter Retreat is an opportunity to take time away from academic settings to consider Jesus Christ and your relationship with him, to meet other graduate students from universities around the city, and to enjoy and be refreshed by the beauty of God's creation.
The theme of the retreat is From Surviving to Thriving----flourishing in our vocations and our relationships.
We will take a look at what God's Word has to say about the practice and pursuit of our vocational callings and our personal relationships (with same and opposite gender) for insights into some of the more common issues of spiritual curiosity in graduate student life. There are both one and two night stay options--
Here is the tentative schedule for the weekend:
| Friday night | Dinner, Compline Service, and Talk 1 on God's Call in our Lives | ||
| Saturday morning | Breakfast, Talk 2 on Vocational Choices, Small Group Discussion | ||
| Saturday afternoon | Recreation of your choice, including hiking, games, etc. | ||
| Saturday evening | Talk 3 on Meaningful Relationships (with same and opposite gender), Panel Discussion, Dinner | ||
| Saturday night | Talent show, bonfire | ||
| Sunday morning | Breakfast and wrap-up |
